A panel of digital imaging experts has assessed the work of the students and selected the three best photos during an award ceremony held at the University of Dubai in presence of its President Dr. Each school has participated with a maximum of five images which were submitted to UD on Monday 22 nd January 2018. The images were captured by the students using ìprofessionalî digital cameras during the National Day 2017 celebrations held at their schools. The competition, which was open to all UAE high schools, witnessed the participation of more than seven schools including Dubai Modern School, Raffles World Academy, Dubai National School, Emirates English Speaking School, Sharjah International School, Al Shola Private School for Girls & Boys, Manarat Al Sharjah School for Girls & Boys and Universal American School. The event aimed to provide the UAE high-school students, mainly 11 and 12 graders, the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their digital photography skills.
